- What is a hidden/invisible/underground containment/fence pet system?
These terms describe a pet containment system that uses radio signals and correction training to keep your pet within a designated boundary.
- How does this system work?
A small buried wire carries a harmless radio signal around the designated area. Your pet wears a collar that has a built-in receiver that signals him/her by releasing safe, mild static corrections when he or she gets too close to the boundary.
- Will the static corrections from the collar hurt my dog?
No. The mild correction pulses delivered when your pet crosses the intended boundary are designed to get your pet?s attention, but not punish him/her. This method has been proven safe and will not harm your pet.
- My dog is really hyper and does not listen. Will this work for her/him?
Not only will the system contain your pet, but it also a good training tool for your pet. Even the most hyper dogs will become docile very quickly.
- How does my pet learn where the boundary is? How long will it take him/her to learn it?
Your pet will learn his/her boundaries through audio tones and visual marker flags along with our training and yours. We will help with the training the same day we finish the install of the system and show you how to continue the needed training for your pet to learn. It will approximately take 2 weeks for you pet to learn the boundaries, although in certain cases it may even take up to 30 days. The visual flags will need to stay up until your pet has learn their boundary.
- Will my dog get hurt if he/she runs through the fence?
If this were to happen, the answer would be no. The receiver has a safeguard system and shuts down automatically after 15 seconds to guard your pet against over-correction.
- Will the system work for more than one pet?
Yes. There is no limit to the number of pets a system can protect at one time.
- Is there a guarantee on the Dog Guard containment systems?

- How big an area will it cover?
We can start with a flower garden, up to a maximum of 20 acres. We can accommodate for just about any special needs, which we can work out once we meet with you.
- How much does it cost? What if I move?
A hidden fence cost so much less than a traditional fence, our starting price is only $399. Depending on what your needs are and how much of an area must be included will increase price which we will work out with you. If you move, the actual system can go with you, a new wire will need to be buried at your new place.
